La Ciudad Se\u00f1orial fue el primer municipio declarado aut\u00f3nomo de la Isla.  Es imposible pasar por desapercibido las letras que dicen el nombre de la ciudad, cuando se llega por la autopista de San Juan a Ponce.  Las mismas fueron una creaci\u00f3n del artista ponce\u00f1o Carlos A. Rivera Villafa\u00f1e.
